The international group of women in the jewelry and watchmaking industry, Mujeres Brillantes (Mubri), held a meeting at the Fair of VicenzaOro, Italy, where they discussed the group’s goals and challenges.
Mubri’s President, Ali Pastorini, said in her speech that “the industry will not change course if the women do not modify their mentality and their way of positioning themselves professionally”. The meeting resulted in plans for 2018, including “the participation of the commercial, educational, social and governmental sector” in Mubri’s efforts, and the opening of a new chapter in Italy.
Pastorini commented: “I am very happy with the commitment each member showed during the encounter […] “We will not wait for the industry to decide when it is time to recognize women, we are already implementing regional and international actions for 2018 that will empower us”.
