On Monday, February 18, the overall polishedprices index stood at 120.7 points. One week later, on Monday, February 25, the overall polishedprices index stood at 119.5 points – down 1.0% compared to the previous Monday. The overall index is 0.9% above its level of this time last year, and has lost 0.1% since the start of the year.
The largest gain among the benchmark categories came from the Mixed 0.5 carat range, which added 1.1% week-over-week. The Fine 0.5 carat range recorded the largest loss, falling 6.2% compared to the previous Monday.
