Israeli-based polished manufacturer Diacore has bought a 32.32 carat pink rough diamond from Petra’s Williamson mine in Tanzania for $13.8 million, IDEX Online reports.
Diacore’s Chairman Nir Livnat described the rough, which was offered last month in Antwerp as part of Williamson’s tender, as a “rare masterpiece of nature”.
According to the report, Diacore specializes in rare colored diamonds “and has cut some of the world’s most famous diamonds, including the 203.04-carat De Beers Millennium Star and the 59.60-carat Pink Star flawless fancy vivid pink diamond.”
