“The Rose of KAO”, a 29.59-carat fancy pink diamond found by Namakwa Diamond’s flagship KAO mine in Lesotho, is up for sale. According to IDEX Online, it will be shown and tendered in Antwerp during KAO’s fourth sale of the year during September/October.
The stone, which was found on June 12 of this year, came from the same geological domain as the 36.06-carat “Pink Storm” which was sold in January 2014.
According to the latest report by the Fancy Color Research Foundation (FCRF), the fancy Color Diamond Index for the second quarter of 2018 showed overall stable prices during the period. The Index increased by 0.5%, blue prices were up 5.7% and yellow and pink prices went down 0.7% and 0.6%, respectively.
