According to multiple news reports, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov has been re-elected Chairman of the supervisory board of Alrosa.
Yegor Borisov, Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), was elected First Deputy Chairman, and Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East Alexander Galushka remains Deputy Chairman. The new supervisory board was elected by the miner’s shareholders on June 30 and comprises of 15 members, four of whom are independent.
According to Gem Konnect, Alrosa’s supervisory board “exercises general control over the company’s operations, its sustainable development, strategy, control over compliance with corporate governance principles including the protection of the interests of all shareholders, employees and partners, as well as timely and full disclosure of information and business transparency”.
