STORNOWAY DIAMOND APPOINTS NEW CFO

Stornoway Diamond Corporation has appointed Orin Baranowsky, who served most recently as VP Investor Relations and Corporate Development, as Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.

 

According to Diamond World, Baranowsky joined Stornoway in June 2013, and was appointed interim CFO in April 2017.

 

Stornoway Diamond, owner of the Renard mine in Canada, sold 350,159 carats of diamonds at two tenders for $31.8 million, averaging $87 per carat, in Q2. 151,135 additional carats were sold for $15.4 million ($101 per carat) after the quarter has ended. During the second quarter, Stornoway produced 417,362 carats.
