A jewelry fair to be held in Thailand next month will include a tender of exceptional polished colored gemstones, IDEX Online reports. The century-old diamond brokering and consultancy firm Bonas plans to tender the stones at the Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair, to be held from February 18 to 22 in the city’s Jewelry Trade Center.
Featured among the four hundred or so lots for sale will be all types of gemstones, including a wide range of sapphires, including star, blue, and star blue varieties, as well as yellow and pink. Emeralds, aquamarines, cat’s eyes and alexandrites will also be on offer, as will rubies and star rubies.
Viewings of the gems on offer will take place in the trade center pavilion between 10 AM and 6 PM for the duration of the fair. The sales themselves will close on February 26 at 11 AM Antwerp time, when the stones will be sold to the highest online bidders.
