D.N DIAMONDS WINS TOP DIAMOND EXPORTER FOR 2014

D.N Diamonds 2007 received the “Top Exporter” award, together with eight exporters in different categories in a ceremony held Monday (September 19) at the Ministry of Economy in Jerusalem. The ceremony was attended by Amit Lang, Director General of the Ministry of Economy, senior officials from the Ministry, representatives of leading financial organizations, senior executives from the top exporting companies, senior representatives of the diamonds industries and employee representatives of the companies.

 

The top diamond exporter of the year award in the diamond category went to D.N Diamonds. The company was established in 2007 by David Arabov and Nissim Zuaretz.

 

D.N Diamonds manufactures and sells large diamonds. The company holds a large stock of polished stones of the highest quality, and is considered one of the leading companies in its field in the world. In 2014, D.N Diamonds’ exports totaled $154 million.

 

The company is headquartered in Israel, from which diamonds are exported all over the world to major jewlery brands, mainly to the Far East.

 

Lang, who spoke in the ceremony, said: “Israeli exports and their contribution to our economy are crucial. It accounts for 32% of of the GDP, and constitute a major contributor to economic growth”. He added that in the first six months of 2016, Israeli exports totaled $25 billion – a drop of almost $2 billion year-on-year. Lang expressed concern of what he termed an “ongoing trend” and spoke about the several steps taken by his office to encourage exporters, including assistance totalling 55 million NIS per year.
