The ‘Platinum Jewellery Business Review’, a research that analyzes the sales performance of platinum jewelry in four major markets (USA, China, India & Japan) during Q3 shows some interesting trends.

According to Rough & Polished, platinum jewelry sales from PGI strategic and PGI business partners in the US “experienced double-digit growth driven by early sales growth after a robust first half.” In China, platinum jewelry sales “declined against a strong recovery last year and intense gold competition.”

In India, the report says, platinum jewelry sales from PGI strategic and PGI business partners “experienced double-digit partners delivered notable growth, driven by early sales growth after a robust first half.” In Japan, platinum jewelry sales improved only marginally. According to the report, “Japan’s consumer confidence index dipped in August to 36.7 as COVID- 19 cases continued to rise […]”.
