Scott Clyne is certainly a romantic man, and now he’s also a viral sensation. Clyne, who planned a super romantic sunset marriage proposal on a boat off Florida’s Gulf Coast, managed to drop the engagement ring into the sea – and was then filmed promptly diving to recover it.
The proposal went viral when the couple posted a video “of the ring box bouncing off the deck into the water” and of Clyne “instinctively diving in to find it,” according to IDEX Online. On TikTok and beyond, it now has more than 8 million views. “Dropped the ring in the gulf during my proposal,” reads the text he wrote over the video.
But, no fear – this clumsy story has a happy ending. The groom-to-be found the ring, and was then made the happiest man off Florida’s Gulf Coast when his girlfriend Suzie Tucker said yes.
