Luk Fook, one of the largest jewelry retailers in Hong Kong, has announced that same store sales for Q3 (October to December 2017) was up 1% year-on-year.
According to Gem Konnect, same store sales of gold products was down 3%, but sales of gem-set jewelry products rose 10%. The growth in the sale of gem-set jewelry in the Hong Kong and Macau markets “continued to benefit from an upswing in the marketplace as well as the successful introduction of more varieties of stylish and good-value-for-money products”, according to the company.
Last October, Luk Fook opened two new boutiques in China “in a bid to further intensify retail operations in the mainland”. The new shops are in Yifeng City Plaza, Zhoukou, Henan and Jincheng Shopping Plaza, Xianning, Hubei, respectively. In September, Luk Fook opened its second retail shop in San Francisco.
