Julia Roberts has introduced her inaugural jewelry collection, crafted from a portion of an immense 6,225-carat emerald recovered by Gemfields at its Kagem mine in Zambia in February 2010, IDEX Online reports.
The 56-year-old actress collaborated with Caroline Scheufele, co-president and artistic director at Chopard, where Roberts serves as a global brand ambassador, to co-design the high jewelry capsule. The collection comprises a ring, a necklace, and a pair of earrings.
Named the Chopard x Julia Roberts collection, it originates from the Insofu emerald, weighing 1.22 kilograms, recovered 14 years ago in Zambia. Chopard acquired the gemstone in November 2018 for an undisclosed sum.
