The Golden State Warriors celebrated their third NBA title in the last four years last Tuesday (October 16) with the unveiling of their unique championship rings for the 2017–18 season.
The rings, made by Jason of Beverly Hills, feature 74 sapphires on one side of the ring, a symbol of the team’s 74 victories during the regular season and playoffs. On the other side of the custom rings there are 74 diamonds. This side also bears the Warriors’ slogan “Strength in Numbers”, which is revealed when the top of the ring is removed.
According to several sources, it took the famed Beverly Hills jeweler three months to design the ring. This is the first time ever that a reversible piece of jewelry had never been executed.
