Phillips Rakes in $30.3 Million in New York Spring Sale

Phillips’ recent auction, called “The New York Watch Auction: SIX”, raked in $30.3 million, bringing the Spring season total for the category to $127.2 million, Rough & Polished reports.

Bidders from the international community, across nearly 70 countries, showed “tremendous enthusiasm,” according to Paul Boutros, Phillips’ Head of Watches, Americas, and Isabella Proia, Head of Sale, New York. According to them, the auction “continued Phillips’ unprecedented 18-month streak of 100% sold sales.”

In more Phillips-related news, a “furious bidding war” at Phillips Hong Kong for a 1990-made Patek Philippe watch described as “possibly unique”, ended with the watch selling for $2.5 million. Its high estimate was $829,000.
