Karen Elson, a supermodel and a singer-songwriter is the face of Natural Diamond Council‘s (NDC) newest campaign. The British-born celebrity was chosen as a role model for “self-assured feminine independence,” according to the NDC as quoted by IDEX Online.
In the campaign, the first ever digital cover for Only Natural Diamonds, the NDC’s consumer-facing digital platform, the 43-year-old Briton wears Bulgari, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Bucherer, Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, as well as other jewelry brands. The cover, shot in New York City, also includes an interview and a 13-page editorial.
Sam Broekema, editor in chief of Only Natural Diamonds, commented: “There are few models who have the staying power of Karen Elson, who defined grunge-era-cool, then evolved into a runway maven par excellence, and then reinvented herself as a boho songbird.”
