ALROSA TO AUCTION LARGE DIAMONDS IN VLADIVOSTOK

Alrosa will hold an international auction for the sale of special size rough diamonds of 10.8+ carats in the Eurasian Diamond Centre in Vladivostok from October 16 to 27, 2017, according to a press release.

 

The auction will include 72 gem-quality lots with a total weight of 1,170 carats. The largest diamond weighs 47.55 carats. A total of 67 companies – from Belgium, India, Israel, China and the US – have applied for the auction.

 

In the last two auctions of rough and polished diamonds in Vladivostok (on September 6 and September 7, 2017), the company sold all 45 auctioned rough diamonds and 33 of 36 polished diamonds. Total revenue from the sales amounted $14.8 million.

 

Auctions of rough and polished diamonds in Vladivostok were launched in September 2016. All in all, 421.4 thousand carats of rough and polished diamonds were sold from September to December of 2016; in the first quarter of 2017, 440.4 thousand carats were sold.
