Pavel Vinikhin, a 12-year veteran at Alosa, was appointed as Director of DIAMONDS ALROSA – ALROSA’s cutting and polishing division, according to Rough & Polished. Vinikhin has been managing the division since October 2016 as acting director.
Born in Smolensk in 1979, Vinikhin “is responsible for the development and modernization of manufacturing facilities, as well as development and implementation of a new marketing strategy aimed at the increase in sales and rise in profitability”.
Earlier this month, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov was re-elected Chairman of the supervisory board of Alrosa. Yegor Borisov, Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), was elected First Deputy Chairman, and Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East Alexander Galushka remains Deputy Chairman. The new supervisory board was elected by the miner’s shareholders on June 30 and comprises of 15 members, four of whom are independent.
