The DMCC has announced the industry “celebrity” attractions expected to speak at its flagship diamond event, the Dubai Diamond Conference (DDC), Rough & Polished reports.
The DDC’s 5th edition, which will be held physically at Atlantis-The Palm on February 21, will be held under the theme of ‘The Future of Diamonds’. Bruce Cleaver, CEO of De Beers, and Sergey Ivanov, CEO of Alrosa are set to address the audience in Dubai.
According to the report, the event, which will also be live-streamed to an international audience, will focus “on the current opportunities and challenges within the sector, and how global diamond businesses can help shape the future of the industry’s growth.”
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the DMCC, commented: “[…] This is going to be one of the industry’s most exciting and impactful events in recent years, and you can feel the excitement from the market.”
The Israeli diamond industry will show presence in the upcoming JGT Dubai exhibition. The Israel Diamond Institute will host a pavilion at the center of the diamond hall, with 12 participating Israeli diamond companies, including an easy search for diamonds from their stock.
