IDE PRESIDENT TO HEAD WFDB’S INITIATIVES COMMITTEE

Last Thursday (October 25), at the conclusion of the 38th World Diamond Congress at the Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB), World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) President Ernie Blom called on exchange presidents and members to join hands to boost the global presence of the trade organization. He added that Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) President Yoram Dvash had agreed to lead the project.

 

Dvash was appointed to head a new committee undertaking strategic initiatives to advance the global industry. The IDE President said that he was very pleased to lead this very important initiative. “The Israel Diamond Exchange has introduced groundbreaking measures to advance the local industry. We have enhanced the transparency of the industry, increased cooperation with governmental authorities and have introduced the first Ethical Code of Conduct in a diamond exchange. We have also taken several steps to harness the power of technology and innovation for the good of the industry. We are excited to lead the world industry to greater levels of transparency, relevance and achievement”.

 

Dvash headed a delegation of the Israel Diamond Exchange to the World Diamond Congress in Mumbai, India, which included Boaz Moldawsky, Chairman of the Israel Diamond Institute; Eran Zini, IDE Managing Director; Shmuel Iny, Legal Advisor; Meir Wertheim, Chairman of the WFDB Legal Committee and Shabtai Vogel, President Etgar Diamond Bourse.
