Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a surprise cameo at Spotify’s Stream On event last week, creating the usual buzz mere days after confirming that they are expecting their second child. One of the things that caught the eyes of admirers and paparazzi was Markle’s pink sapphire and diamond ring, which the Duchess of Sussex wore on the middle finger of her right hand.
According to several reports, the ring – made by Canadian jewellery brand Ecksand – is made in fully recycled 18-carat yellow gold, featuring a rose cut pink sapphire weighing 6 carats and 0.2 carats of diamonds around the band. The ring costs a modest $1,215.
Markle often opts for Canadian brands, and this isn’t the first time she wears a piece by Ecksand, which is known as an ethical jeweller. She also has a statement pair of earrings and some bold emerald rings by the same brand.
